Omega Delta Phi Announces Director of Business Appointment

Location: Seattle, WA – Omega Delta Phi announced the permanent appointment of Brother Joe King as Director of Business Development to the Leadership & Development team. The Director of Business Development manages all of our licensing to vendors, manages our trademarks, and works to develop third party partnerships that better the members of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Brother Joseph crossed into our brotherhood in Spring 2015 at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  Throughout his time as a brother, he served multiple positions at both the chapter level and national level including President, Internal VP, PME, IFC representative, Alumni Relations, Bias Incident Reporting committee, LGBTQ+ support committee, Constitution rewrite committee, and the National Conference committee. Joseph was on the Dean’s list while at UWO, Brother of the Year at the 2017 Midwest Regional Conference, Greek Life Founders award in 2016 at UWO, and numerous other awards and recognition for his work and support with 11 student organizations/honor societies.Brother Joseph graduated in 2017 with his B.S. in Acting. He is currently attending the University of California Irvine for his MFA in Stage Management.

As interim Director, Brother King was able to increase the number of vendors we utilize, increase profit substantially from our vendor relationships, created new partnerships to give Brothers more discounts, and proposed, advocated for, and ultimately helped pass a national agreement with a vendor management service to better monitor vendors who are selling without a license.
When asked about his new role, Brother King responded,  ” I am excited to take on the position of Director of Business Development. The development of beneficial partnerships is key to

establishing an even stronger support system. It is my goal to find more organizations to partner with that will give us more opportunities to volunteer and partnerships that will give us access to more discounts and benefits for our brothers. I am working on creating an incentive program for graduation and a workshop that will benefit both active and alumni brothers. I hope to increase the amount of quality vendors that we have and help solidify our brand as well. I am always looking for new ideas and I hope that brothers will reach out with any organization they would like to see us potentially partner with.”

Vice President of Leadership and Development, Ruben Hernandez said, “I’m very excited to transition Joe from interim to acting Director.  Joe has made some significant progress in a short time, and has definitely earned this permanent role.  We look forward to many more great things from Joe in the near future. ”
