Who We Are Nationally
In the fall of 1987, seven distinct men of vision:
Joe Cereceres Eugene Dominguez Arturo Barraza Juan Barraza Tommy Hurtado Chris Forbes Elliot Bazaan ...
came together at Texas Tech University to form a brotherhood.
The purpose of this Brotherhood, a Service/Social fraternity dedicated to the needs and concerns of the community, is and shall be to promote and maintain the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership. This Brotherhood was founded in order to provide, to ANY man, a diverse fraternal experience which coincides with a higher education.
Since founding in 1987, Omega Delta Phi has been an organization perpetually dedicated to the idea of constant growth and improvement. We must work to form an organization which not only challenges the traditional perception of fraternities, but also deals with the issues of culture and race in a completely new perspective. Thinking out of the box is no longer an acceptable plateau; the box must now be removed completely.

Who We Are Locally
Since Fall of 2000, being part of a handful of individuals we began our quest to seek an organization with the values of a true brotherhood, community service and a priority for high academics. The fact that most of us came from a similar background of being a first-generation, non-traditional student on campus pushed us even further to create a brotherhood for students with similar ideas as us. The growing pains of the first semester and school year at Pacific showed us how each of us were paddling in the same boat, for the most part. Wanting to create a second family on campus, a home away from home, an atmosphere were we discussed more than just our studies, we slowly started to come full circle and realized what we wanted to do for ourselves, and especially for those that would follow in our foot steps.
On November 4, 2001 the Alumni Association of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. known as the Cali Knights conducted a formal presentation to three interested students from the University of the Pacific. Cali Knights in attendance were: Mo, Bouba, Leo Ruiz, Joe Reyes, Monty and Russ Lucas. Those three interested students were: Founder Carlos Martinez, Founder Rafael Beltran, and ex-Founding Program and ex-Charter Class Pledge Program member Oscar Luna. Also in attendance was Ines Ruiz-Huston, Pacific Colony Founding Advisor.
Being so enthusiastic with what these three individuals had seen, they quickly grew the interest in 11 other individuals, and thus creating the service club formerly known as UNIDOS (UNITED). UNIDOS was founded in December 11, 2001 with 14 members with the ideals of helping the community through hands-on community service, graduating its members, and promoting higher education. On February 25, 2002 UNIDOS presented to Omega Delta Phi's National Representatives: Vice President of Undergraduate Affairs Soilo Filex, Expansion Chairman Valentin Hernandez, Southern California Alumni Chair Leo Ruiz, Pacific Regional Director Mo Gebreyesus and Pacific Regional Development Membership Chair Bouba Diare.
On April 5, 2002 UNIDOS became the 1st Official Club of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. and began their quests towards Knighthood. It was a milestone for O D Phi to have its 1st Entity in California and it took a lot of hard work and dedication to do so. On January 26, 2003 Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. gave birth to 3 HYPE, PROUD, strong, and UNITED individuals formerly known as the Pacific Colony Founders.

What We Believe
Our motto of "Cresit Eundo - It grows as it goes" is reflective of the ever evolving world. Omega Delta Phi does not rely on the past to identify with the present and future. We realize that our future is controlled by the actions we do today. Elevating our standards and constant improvement are goals that every brother of Omega Delta Phi is instilled from their inception.
"One culture, any race." This paradigm accurately describes Omega Delta Phi's philosophy of inclusion. While proud to be a fraternity founded primarily by Latinos at Texas Tech University, Omega Delta Phi has always found itself in the position of appealing the people of many races and backgrounds. The question that begs to be asked is, "Why is this true?" It is that you will find that our ideals are universal. While other organizations focus on what they have been Omega Delta Phi focuses on what it is becoming. Race is a limiting concept that forces people of a nationality and/or color into preconceived roles and expectations. However, any man will tell you that people of the same nationality can be different as night and day in their beliefs and ideals. A culture, however, is defined by a set of shared ideals, traditions, and values.
The men of Omega Delta Phi are founded on the concept that in order to truly grow as an individual, one must experience views which can challenge preconceived perceptions to foster growth and enlightenment. "One Culture, any race." This is a completely new way of looking at ourselves and the world we live in. "One culture, any race." A challenge to the closed minded to look beyond what they believe to be true and realize the truth is largely dependent on one's perspective. "One culture, any race." A philosophy that suggests the coexistence of various races can be a win-win situation if we are willing to learn from one another. "One culture, any race" is an ideal for a new millennium and a new fraternity.
